Thanks for this AMAZING post! I love learning more about the little known London collections. That was a time long gone and it is so sad that it is. The research that has gone into this article is noteworthy. You should seriously be a consultant for the savage beauty exhibit in London. SERIOUSLY
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brandon! And yes, I guess it is kind of a roundabout pitch for the job!
ReplyDeleteWas just struck by the memories of being in London while it was all happening - and yet, pre-internet and blogs, a world where you just wouldn't have thought of even trying to go to these shows. Plus my ongoing crossness at not buying more of the early menswear . . .

Finally home! Can't wait to read it... :)
ReplyDeleteJohn-Michael! I don't even know what to say... You're one of those writers to whom I am afraid to actually make comments because I find myself perpetually repeating myself! So, putting aside your brilliant awesome-ness, let me then thank you for unveiling wonderful and interesting information about Lee's London shows, facts I'd never heard of before, and which have opened my eyes to quite a new way of looking at the context in which they happened. :) Oh, and PS, I ABSOLUTELY agree with Mr. Brandon. SERIOUSLY. ;)
